Nail dust and chemical fumes are the silent occupational hazard of the trade. Long-term exposure to MMA dust, acrylic particulates, and acetone vapor is a respiratory issue that doesn't show up in a single shift but compounds across years. A station-mounted fume extractor is the difference between a career-long lung condition and a clean working environment.

The NLVYPRO MN01 is technically marketed as a soldering fume extractor — but the engineering is identical to what nail techs need: 105 watts, 155 CFM airflow, three-layer filtration (pre-filter, true HEPA at 99.97%, activated carbon for VOCs). The 55mm flexible hose with 360-degree rotation positions over the working area where the dust is generated, capturing it at the source before it reaches the breathing zone.

The HEPA stage is the part that matters for nail dust. A standard nail-dust collector pulls particulates through cloth or coarse filters, which catch the visible dust but pass the fine particulates that actually penetrate the lungs. True HEPA captures down to 0.3 microns at 99.97%. The activated carbon stage handles acetone and acrylic monomer vapors that filtration alone won't address.

Operating noise runs 25–55 dB depending on suction setting. At low speed during routine work, it's quieter than a typical nail drill. At full pull during heavy filing, it's audible but not disruptive to conversation. The LCD with filter-saturation alert is a real feature — most cheap extractors leave you guessing when the filter is loaded; this one tells you, with the pre-filter lasting 20–30 days, HEPA 3–8 months, and carbon 8–12 months in a salon environment.
