BARBICIDE Half Gallon Disinfectant Concentrate

There are products we test because they're interesting, and products we keep because the industry already settled the question. BARBICIDE is the second kind. For combs, shears, metal implements, and other nonporous salon tools that require proper disinfection between uses, this is the concentrate we expect to see mixed correctly and changed on schedule. The EPA registration matters, the clear dilution instructions matter, and the anti-rust formula matters if you're protecting expensive tools through constant service rotation.

The dilution is straightforward: 2 ounces per 32 ounces of water. That sounds basic, but it's exactly why this remains the standard — staff can learn it quickly, managers can verify it easily, and there's less room for the vague "splash and hope" approach we still see with lesser concentrates. In a working salon, repeatable sanitation is the priority. We don't want mystery solutions, inconsistent strengths, or products that make tools feel sticky or leave residue in the jar.
